Once again, I am left with not enough cuss words in my vocabulary to adequately describe my feelings towards Barack Obama and his merry band of communists. Tonight, we turned a huge corner on our way to socialism which I think will lead to communism. Our elected officials voted to socialize health care! All this is aimed at getting at the "evil insurance" companies and to give to those who do not have the means to support themselves.
First of all, I would like to go on record as being in support of making insurance companies "toe the line" so to speak. I agree that we have to pay far to much for the insurance we have, and there does need to be some action taken about pre-existing conditions. I agree that those that can not do for themselves may deserve our help. I agree that health care simply costs too much and there needs to be some sort of control over the costs!
What makes me so pissed is that the very groups that need to be made to get out of the way of our health care system weren't even addressed here! I agree that insurance is a big scam, just like used car salesmen and funeral directors. The one profession that needs to be radically changed is the "blood sucking" attorneys. Were it not for lawyers we would live in a much more more respectful and much more fair society. Thanks to attorneys our manufacturing base has had to move to different countries in order to make a profit. Thanks to lawyers, punks and thugs can break into your house and then sue you(and win) if you shoot their sorry ass and they live. Thanks to attorneys you can be stupid and spill hot coffee in your lap and get 3 million bucks from McDonald's. Thanks to attorneys you can get fat and then sue all the fast food joints you frequent and win big money because it was their fault your rear-end is to big to fit through a door. Thanks to attorneys either you or your estate can sue a tobacco company because you got sick or died because you smoked! The list can go on and on and on to the nth degree and I can't possibly list all the silly stupid stuff that clogs up our court system; thanks to attorneys! There is not a day that goes by that we are not bombarded with adds to join law suits concerning drugs or asbestos or some other thing that we've lived with for years that could possibly harm us or kill us. Get real people! We are all going to die from something and these lawsuits are ridiculous!
The only honest thing to do in discussing health care reform is to address our attorney problems. I say we need to send them all to Iran or some other place and let those people deal with our problem. The attorneys, all in the name of their own personal profit, have ripped the guts and the very fabric of what made us America from us. If you are an attorney and you're reading this,,,,,shame on you! Thanks to you and your ilk we do not have a country like our founders fought for and died for!
We have 23 million(more or less) other problems that weren't addressed in this health care reform bill either. What about the 23 million illegal Mexicans that are sucking the life blood from our overworked tax paying citizens? You sorry suckers that got elected to govern our country allowed these criminals to stay here only so you could get their vote and keep you elected. Man, you're selling your country out. Your selling all of us out that have to pay the bulk of the taxes and eventually there will be no more United States of America. It's like you politicians are pushing and shoving at the citizens trying to pick a fight with us. You all will do our will eventually, we still have the power of the ballot and eventually we usually get things right. I hope you people that live in districts that give us the likes of Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi will finally wake up and get these people out of our misery! Please!!! If you voted for BO you can kiss my rear end. All the workers are going to eventually hate the day BO was sworn in as ........I just can't say it, and it has nothing to do with his race! He's a communist and I'm am not a subscriber to the communist philosophy.
How about addressing all the able bodied people who lay up on their backsides and contribute nothing to society except their bastard children? How come we have to pay for that too? We have our own families to worry about and shouldn't be burdened with paying other peoples way that can do better but will not for whatever reason.
Although it will be too late, there's going to come a reckoning for a whole bunch of you political types this November! We are going to try to send every one of you thieves home this go around and then the next two election cycles we'll finish cleaning out that house. In my heart I have to believe there is a special place in hell for the three or four generations of politicians that have sold us out and cleaned us out. Our founding fathers are probably spinning in their graves right now because of what's been done tonight! We have the right to purse happiness, we weren't given the right of happiness. No where does our constitution make allowances for stealing the money from the workers to pay for those who will not work or for those that came here illegally. No where in the constitution is it a right not to work and right to make your neighbors pay your way!
I write this blog so I don't bore my friends and family to death with my constant raving about the communist party that has hi-jacked the USA. I might write about things other than politics, but politics is the main reason for my blog. If you don't like what I have to say then you have two options. Tell me about it and we'll have a discussion. Or, you can hit the X in the top right corner of your screen and be spared any harm that may come from reading my blog:)

Experience
There are very few things that I'm good at but that doesn't stop me from attempting to do things that I choose to do. I'm pretty good at singing four part harmony, I have a good ear for that and some people tell me I have a really good singing voice. I'm good at yelling, being grouchy, and any other thing that doesn't take much talent. I have a lot of things that I like to do, such as write blogs, algebra, and teach bible class during class time at church. This past Sunday I learned that there is a fine art to teaching, or in this case moderating a bible class.
During the first five minutes of my class, I managed to make a couple of people angry at me, enough so to disrupt the class. I have to say I was a little taken by surprise by this and was left wondering where I went wrong. Now, I must admit I'm a little blunt, and I like to comment on things as I see them. In this case, I made these folks angry with me and then it went downhill from there.
As I have gotten older I'm trying to use my experiences as life lessons. Sunday was one of these moments and I would like to share my thoughts on what I learned.
When I become angry with someone, I need to settle down and hear what they have to say before I jump all over the speaker. I'm quite certain, had I been allowed to finish my thoughts these folks would have probably not been as upset with me as they were. I think they would have found out I have far more in common with them than I have differences. The bible says that we are to be swift to hear and slow to speak. This past week I learned that lesson the hard way; I've been on the other side of this many times and this incident will cause me to reflect more before I "jump on" someone again.
Another thing I learned is stating your opinion in public might get you in some hot water. Now, I've blogged about free speech before and I'm certainly not going to go whining now for causing people react negatively to something I've said. This confrontation has given me some actual experience in dealing with conflict. I'd rather have had the conflict in private but we're not always given a choice about that. This will not keep me from speaking in public but it will cause me to reflect some on my delivery methods. I will not lie, nor will I agree to something that I do not believe in, but I can word things in such a way not to cause a huge reaction to my opinion. This will also help me to not become "rattled" when given a challenge I wasn't expecting. This certainly wasn't something I expected, most especially in that venue and given the subject matter. I'll be more prepared for something like that in the future.
I think the biggest thing I learned was that I must not be defensive when listening to a speech. I'm quite sure these folks had some issues in their life that I probably touched on, or got on their toes a little. There have been many times where I've taken something more personal that I should have and have given negative feed-back to a speaker, when maybe I should've kept my mouth shut and took the lesson or speech as food for thought not a personal hit.
Experience is a hard teacher, maybe I've learned something from this.

Free Speech
There has been a small item in the news the last couple of days that I just have to comment on. It has to do with the bunch of nuts that live in Kansas who take it upon themselves to show up at military funerals and say hateful things about the service members who have been killed. They have placards and signs that say things like "Thank God for IED's" and "God Hates You". and other other hateful slogans. Their whole "jist" for lack of a better term is to protest the militarise policy concerning gays. I assume they think the military is pro-gay rights or something of that nature. Having served in the military I can tell you that the "rank-in-file" of the military do not want gays serving with them. Yes, I realize that gays have served in our military for as long as we've had a military but most of the service members don't want them around if given a choice.
Now, I must say that I believe in the right of free speech. These soldiers, whether they know it or not, put their lives on the line to protect such things as the right to speak our mind. I'm exercising my right to free speech by writing this blog and I will continue to do so until the Lord takes me home. One of the reasons we are free is because we have the God given right to speak our mind in public.
Now, the other side of the coin ought to be that an individual or group must face the consequences for stating their opinion, whether they be good or bad. Our courts have gone far out of their way to protect free speech from any repercussions whether they be from the government or private individuals. The whole intent of the "right" was to protect the individual from repercussions from the government, not from the individual. There was a time, in my lifetime, that most folks understood that you could get your ass whipped for stating your opinion. Yes, it was understood that you had a right to your opinion and you could state your opinion, but there would be consequences one way or another.
I've wrote, many times, about the sissyfication of America. We live in a country with a bunch of wimpy men who have forgotten what it is to be a man. We live in a society where the first protection most people seek is through either law enforcement or a lawyer, and not necessarily in that order. The liberal loon left has had almost absolute control of our country for several decades and we are all reaping the rewards of that. You can argue that point but you'd be wrong. The liberals have controlled the media, most all of our public universities, and all our public schools and they have won the hearts and minds of millions of Americans. What's bad is that most people don't even know it. I've asked lots of our young people about their thoughts on global warming and they sound like a commercial for Al Gore. Ask most of our young people about universal health care and they can quote Barack Obama and they think he's right. Yet, the same kids that you question will tell you that they are conservatives! Ha!
Now, back to the original point of this post. I have two children in the military right now. One of them is headed to Afghanistan and the other to the UAE; all this is happening in the next two or three months. If one of them happens to come home in a flag draped coffin, there better not be any of those folks from Kansas out there with their signs. I can guarantee you they would suffer the consequences for exercising their free speech and we'd see how far up someones "never-mind" a sign-post would fit.

I'll Skip The Pacemaker
Last November I was told that I was going to be needing a defibrillator/pacemaker installed in my heart. I was informed that my heart function was down below 30 percent and that the defibrillator was necessary if I wanted to live a long life. Naturally, this news wasn't something that I wanted to hear and I've kinda had a dark cloud hanging over my head every since. However, against the wishes of my cardiologist, I put off having the pacemaker put in and even sought the opinion of another doctor.
I've had friends and family members inquire about when I was going to be having the surgery, and suffered the admonishments of several of them for not already having the procedure done. I just couldn't accept that my heart was that "sick" because I felt too good. When I go walking, my teenagers have to practically run to keep up with me. In fact, I can walk at a very brisk pace for a very long time. I usually walk about 40 minutes when I go walking and do not ever have any difficulty while doing this exercise.
Well, well, well, we roll ahead a few months, dark clouds of despair and all, and finally I get some different answers or at least clarification on my condition. Come to find out, my records were inadvertently mixed in with someone else with whom I share a surname. Talk about good news! Holy Smokes! I've been handed my life again, or at least told that my heart is not giving out on me as I'd been led to believe. This news has certainly cheered me up and has given me a whole new "lease" on life!
After this whole ordeal I've been reminded of several truths that I already knew and have talked about before. The first truth is; Yep, I'm gonna die one of these days. The second truth is; live every day like it's your last and enjoy your life. We all need to remember that we are all going to die of something, we will not get out of this life alive. Another truth we all need to remember is that these doctors are just as human as anyone else.
Too many people hold doctors to a higher standard than allowed normal human beings and doctors are often vilified when things don't go right or the way we think things should go. My cardiologist is a very good doctor and I will continue to use him when the need arises. I'm more impressed with him now than I was before because at least he can admit to making a mistake, which is something a lot of doctors would never do. I can't say as I blame the doctors for never admitting error, I wouldn't either if I had the slobbering blood sucking lawyers after me all the time. None the less, I'm more impressed with this man now and if anything he just earned more of my respect and trust.
You know, I might die of a heart attack one of these days. That is if I don't get hit by lightning, run over by a train, die of cancer, drown, get shot, or die of some other insidious disease or freak accident. We are all going to eventually keep our appointment with God and we need to live our lives in such a way that we will have no regrets. I wrote, several posts ago, about living my life and not standing by and missing out on things. What a shame for us to die and having never really lived. Lets all get out and enjoy our family and friends and quit putting off doing the things we really want to do. I had a guy tell me one time, "life is not a rehearsal, you only get to live once so you might as well go do what ever it is you dream of doing." I think that's a pretty good way to look at things, if you ask me.
Maybe now I'll have longer to bash our politicians and "grouch" about the way thing are.

We The People Are About to Speak!
It happens every first of the month. I'm too dumb to remember that if you go to Wal-Mart on the first it's going to be filled with welfare folks and is not a pleasant place to be. Why can't I ever remember to do my shopping a couple of days before the first?! Every month, I stand in line and am fuming watching all the young folks, that ought to working for a living, in the check out line buying groceries with the money(food stamps) that the government stole from me! I just want to remind you all of one thing. Just because your 16 year old daughter or sister gets pregnant, doesn't give her the right to come take money from my pocket!. Yep, that pisses me off bad. The whole dang country shouldn't have to pay your way just because you couldn't keep your legs together.
I'll say it even if nobody else will. These stupid democrats cry about the plight of the poor in this country when what they ought to be doing is telling the biggest majority of them to get off their ass and go to work! I stand in line with young people who can't speak my language and they too pull out the Lone Star Card and buy groceries with MY money. The key here is it's MY money, that I earned, and the government stole it from me and gave it to them AND they are here illegally.
BO and his merry band of communist want to get on their soap box about health care reform. We are being told that the average person is too stupid to figure out how to take care of themselves. Is that right? How about the last 40 years when the "elites" have borrowed more money then we can possibly repay to pay for things we didn't need? You tell me who's smart?
In a time when we are not just broke but bankrupt our politicians have the unmitigated gaul to want to spend $500 million on a new national park! We've got these dander and dunder heads running around the country trying to tell the citizens about fiscal responsibility, yet they've ran our country into the ground with the constantly increased debt ceiling! There ought not be a debt ceiling! We need to not spend more than we have, in fact we should spend less than we have so we can save some money. We could start by cutting out about half the departments and move on from there. I could give you a whole list of departments and programs I would cut today if I were in control of everything.
Look here Mr. or Mrs. Congressman. We can no longer afford to send billions of dollars overseas to countries who hate us! We cannot support the 20 million illegal Mexicans that live here and use public assistance. That is a crime in itself right there. We are going broke both privately and publicly yet we are literally forced, at gunpoint, to support 20 million folks who came here like the thieves they are and you government types allow them to steal from the workers that belong here! We can no longer support most of the things you idiots want to do and so this November, there's going to be lots of you guys sent home! Thank GOD!
To all you folks that are about to be sworn into office for the first time. Don't forget where you came from. We the people do not want to be ruled or to be subjects! This is a government for the people and by the people and it's of the people! You new "hotshots" need to remember that when you get your new jobs this fall and remember that you work for US, we don't work for YOU. You are only there because WE said you could be there and we want to trust you to do the right thing. Too many of your predecessors have been less than honest and we the people have been lazy about checking up on you people. I'm thinking that's changing and if you want a job that lasts more than one election cycle, you best remember who you work for.
