Interesting

This new "leftist" protest concerning Wall Street is very interesting to me. Any movement I've ever experienced that has "power to the people" as one of it's slogan's, you can bet it's a socialist/communist movement; it pure evil.

I think these people mean well, I really do. To a point I kind of understand what they are talking about....to a point ( did I already say that?) Yes, our huge banks and other huge corporations are greedy, I understand that. Yes, banks are making a hideous profit from the American people; something needs to be done about that. I understand that we need jobs and we need more money to be able sustain this comfortable life we've all been living these past several decades.

One of the interesting things about this particular event is the cross section of people who are at these rallies. One lady, quoted on YAHOO is an actual member of a union. Talk about greed. These union folks are one of the reasons many people can't find jobs here anymore, indeed are a major cause of the failing of many of our industries. It's really funny, not ha-ha funny, but funny in a sickening way to see people out protesting because of the lack of things we can have now, and these people are a major cause of our financial situation now.

When Gdub was President, at least until the Communist took control of the House and Senate, we had almost zero unemployment and the economy was actually doing pretty well. Yet, since the wars we were in were unpopular with many in our society, we managed to elect a bunch of nit-wits to rule over us! This just goes to prove that elections are not always about the economy. Until the time the Democrats took control of the house and senate, we were in pretty good shape.

Things started going down-hill pretty fast when Pelosi and Reed had the reigns of the two chambers. Then the people of America nailed the last nail in the lid of our coffin by electing a muslim/socialist/communist to be our President. So you can say that I find it interesting that the particular kinds of people are out and "up in arms" about the sorry state of affairs in this country.

Look people, we can not allow our borders to be open and have millions of illegal workers in our country. We can not keep electing socialist leaders to run the business of our country. Socialism has never ever worked in any place in the world. Look at California, it's dead broke and so are all the other states that are more liberal/socialist. We can't keep shutting down businesses by putting unions into the few remaining manufacturing entities in our country. We simply can't afford to keep paying wages that are not in line with reality. We cannot continue to support the millions of ner-do-wells that contribute nothing to our society except their bastard children and crime. Joe taxpayer has had enough!

Do you not understand that the money that people WORK for is theirs? Why should we that work be expected to support those of you who will not work? Why should we that work be expected to pay the way for millions of illegal Mexicans in our country? I submit that we should deport every last one of them and force able-bodied welfare recipients to take the jobs these Mexicans leave behind. I bet if we cut off welfare and food stamps to able bodied folks, they'd find a way to make it to work every day if they went hungry for a while.

I, for one, am glad that their are such things as rich corporations, doctors, and other successful folks; they provide jobs! These folks actually help create wealth in our society. You folks that keep murmuring for more government help; where do you expect the money to come from to pay for your sorry self? Our government probably shouldn't have helped many of the corporations that it helped, in this I agree with you freako's. On the other hand, we can't afford to see our corporations, who provide jobs to simply fold up and quit.

This idiot President that you nut-jobs elected has single handily just about put America into the 3rd world by shutting down our oil production, and indeed much of our power infrastructure. Gas is going to go much higher and the blame for that lies directly with the Democratic party. We need to drill now and to produce more power now! We can't keep letting a very small group of environmentalist wacko's kill our economy. You fruitcakes and banana-cream pies folks need to protest the right things if you want your plight in life to improve. Socialism is not the way to freedom, never has been and never will be.

Last thought and I'll close this rant. Get up every morning and go to your job and do well at it so you can keep it. Don't borrow any money on credit cards, and indeed, don't borrow money for anything, other than maybe a house. Live within your means and quit trying to buy every dang thing so you can keep up with your neighbors. Heck, just about every one I know is in debt up to their eyeballs! Debt is something I'm doing my best to get out of just as soon as I can. I figure if I don't owe those evil banks any money, they can't hurt me. Quit bitching about the evil rich folks and go try to become rich yourself. Most all these nasty old rich folks you don't like actually went out and earned their money by doing well at what they do. Quit coveting what you can't afford and just be happy with what you've got. You don't have to have a fancy house, a new car, all the latest electronic gadgets, and designer clothes. None of that stuff means anything anyway, but wanting what we can't afford is the reason our country is on the very brink of collapse right now. If you don't believe that then that makes you an idiot and this conversation is over.

What I don't Understand

I often wonder why people do some of the things they do. Really, I know several people who voted for Barack Obama, yet are very socially and politically conservative people. I've asked these several people why they voted for Obama and the answer is universally "change". People wanted to change the direction we were going so they though Obama was the way to go.

The thing that bothers me is what brought us too this point, I'm speaking of the point where our country is dying right before our very eye's. Here is what I don't understand; what went so wrong with the Bush presidency to cause such a shift in political power? I guess it was because we didn't find WMD's in Iraq, or the unpopularity of the wars we've been fighting for almost a decade. The liberal "main stream media" did all it could do to destroy George W. Bush. It's amazing the things the media attacked Mr. Bush for yet, Obama gets a free pass for doing some of the same things.

If I remember correctly, we had record low unemployment, our economy was in decent shape, and all was well and good in America. We woke up in November, three years ago, to having Nancy Pelosi as the Speaker-of-the-House and Harry Reid as the Senate Majority Leader, and things have gone down-hill every since. The great "braying" voice of Barack Obama assaults our ears and everything he's done has helped cripple and destroy our economy.

To all you people out there that had your "pantie's in a wad" over some of the stuff Bush did, look what you've forced on your fellow countrymen! Barrack Obama is the enemy we fought so hard to defeat for over 50 years. Please, do not elect him again, your country can't take it anymore.

There is no such thing as a free lunch (tinstaafl) remember that people. For you misguided fools out there, if you didn't earn it, you don't deserve it! People cannot continue to lay up on their backsides and expect the government take care of them from cradle to grave. The whole American dream was that a person could work hard and make his fortune through the sweat of his brow! We have millions of people here now who do not speak our language or hold what's most dear to us in the same light we do. We simply cannot sustain our way of life while our own citizens and the rest of the world are steadily pulling us down. We certainly can't survive four more years of the Democrat's holding two branches of our government. Every time they get in power, bad things start to happen. It's always been that way every since I can remember. Come on people, wake up....we are about to all perish.

Raise Them Taxes

I'm sick to death of listening to BO say that the "rich" need to pay their fair share! The rich do pay their fair share of taxes. Without the rich folks, the rest of us wouldn't have any jobs, we'd be an agrarian society like that of several generations ago. I'm tired of listening to him pontificate to the rest of us on how we should live our lives.

The liberals have absolutely destroyed our society by their draconian tax and spend policies and their lack of moral foundation. The mass media, the very institution that was supposed to help keep us free, has gotten into bed with the socialist and have killed the very idea of a free America.

This county was founded upon the idea that a person could dream something and then work to attain that dream. There have been countless examples of folks who have dreamed of coming to America; once they've gotten here, they have worked hard and have become successful. The liberals have killed that dream for many millions of America.

I resent the hell out of the liberal attitude that the rich don't pay their "fair share" of taxes. Liberals have had so much control of all the major institutions, schools, media, etc... it's a wonder we can produce anything. We have 20 million illegal Mexicans here, taking our jobs and drawing welfare....an BO want's to raise taxes?! We have millions of folks here who refuse to work and welp one child after another, on the tax-payers dime, and he says we don't pay our fair share?!

I'm not going to go into another list here. Every person in this country could come up with ways that our government could run more efficiently, well, that is every one except the people who live inside the beltway of Washington D.C. Arrogant bastards! I don't want to here about more taxes! I pay $2.50 a gallon to much for gas, my taxes are too high, and I wonder how many more people are going to lose their jobs....and BO want's to raise taxes? Whatever.

Mo' Money

I pray to God on a daily basis that the people of the states that elect "RHINO" Republicans will wake the heck up. We need conservative, real conservative, members of congress and the senate. This wheeling and dealing that the "so-called" Republicans are doing now is making me sick!

What is it the Senator McConnell and Senator McCain can't figure out? It's because of their leadership that we now have a Democrat President and a Democratic controlled senate. The people do not want business as usual! We want the stinking government to not bankrupt us and sell us out to the Red Chinese!

There are so many things the government could do to save money, yet none of them have the intestinal fortitude to do what they know needs to be done. I've made lists for two years on how we could cut the budget; what the heck, I'm just a stupid Oklahoma born hick and I don't know anything. I do know one thing though, I'd be smart enough not to spend more money than I take in. All those Ivy League educated egg-heads up in Washington must be really ignorant because they haven't figured that out yet. The average dunce can figure out that you can't sustain spending more money than you make..but what the heck, they can just print more....right?

What a Country

I don't know for sure whether or not Casey Anthony killed her little girl. Probably she did, but only God and whomever killed the little girl will ever know for sure. The jury decided, for whatever reason, the Casey didn't kill her baby and the rest of us need to learn to live with that decision. If she did kill that little girl, her life will be a living hell until the day she dies; she'll never ever live it down. The only way that her life is not turned upside is if she really didn't kill her, or she doesn't have a conscience. Considering what we know about Ms. Anthony, I doubt seriously she even has a conscience. I'd be frantic if one of my children were missing more than an hour....much less 31 days!

Now, on to other things.

I'm praying that our Rhino Republican leadership doesn't sell us out to BO's plan to reduce the debt. I want the damn government to quit spending money on stuff that doesn't directly effect our country. Giving money to the teaming masses of illegal Mexicans that live within our borders is a criminal act on the part of our government. I'm not a monster, I understand why people want to help these poor Mexicans, but we must not bankrupt our own country in order to give food, medical care, & housing to people who came here against our laws.

We've got to quit building roads, schools, and the myriad of other projects we have going on or we are never ever going to be able to balance out our budget. Every time our government borrows more money we are selling more of our nation to the Red Chinese. We are simply going to have to learn to do without many of the things we are used to having.

What a country we live in. Our poor people live as well as the middle class in the industrialized world. We have millions of welfare recipients who have a better income and lifestyle than a lot of the families who actually work for a living to support these sorry suckers! People who are able bodied and refuse to work ought to have to live in cardboard boxes and beg for a living. Any offspring they might produce ought to be taken from them and given to folks that can support them. I think we ought to ship all those types of folks up to the northern states; they are the ones who keep electing the damn communist to lead us.

Debt Ceiling

We do not need to raise our debt ceiling. Oh my God are our politicians stupid or what? There is no way we can get our debt under control if we keep borrowing more money than we bring in.

It is way past time for there to be a balanced budget amendment put into our constitution! These people that get elected to go to Washington somehow always come up with a "god complex". I see these arrogant "ass-clowns" from these Ivy League schools who think they are oh so much smarter than the rest of us "unwashed idiots" out in the hustings, and it makes me sick to my stomach. These bureaucrats we have been saddled with are nothing more than a bunch of educated idiots...the same kind of idiots who've screwed up our public school system and everything else they've ever touched. The common blue-collar man or woman out in America are smart enough to know that you can't keep spending more than you take in or you will eventually go broke!

I see so much government waste just here in the area I live in. Government buildings we don't have to have and roads that were fine the way they were. We can see the waste every time we watch the news or hear about some big project our government wants done. All the millions of people out of work and the feather-heads up in Washington keep on making it harder and harder for private sector companies to do business. I want to know something. If the hundreds-of-thousands of people who make our government run are so smart, why is our country flat broke? Why is it, if they are so smart, that anything the government gets involved in costs so much dang money, and whatever it is never ever works efficiently? The common man knows the answer, and I guess the powers that be think we are too stupid to figure it out.

The answer lies in the millions of lawyers we have in this country and all the far left interests that are out there. The common man has so much information he's frustrated and therefore tunes out all the mess that comes out of DC. We are so overloaded with information we can't possibly process all of it in a way that makes any sense. The leaders we have don't see things in absolutes...it's all grey and fuzzy. Even a man like myself understands that there is not always a right answer to every problem. However, 99% of the time I believe there is good or evil, right or wrong, or there is a black or white answer or solution. Myself, I generally choose to view things in one or two ways, it's either wrong or it's right, good or evil. Maybe that makes me shallow or a little dense, but life is much simpler that way. What I would give to have our government staffed by folks that had a sense of direction much the same as I do. I realize that we are not always going to agree about everything, but at least you can trust a man who states what he believes and then lives by the code.

Our nannies and dunder-heads up in Washington, for the most part, have no true allegiance to anything except to themselves. They want us all to share in the burden of our massive debt; we are not the ones who made the dang debt to start with. I'd like to know how much money the retirement benefits and staff salaries of our politicians costs the American tax payers each year. Congress has made themselves a real sweetheart deal and get to live like kings their whole lives after serving a term in office. Business rewards them with huge salaried jobs once they leave congress, they are paid because they are good liars and know how to manipulate people and the systems we have in place. Lord have mercy I wish I could get into office so I could live like these people do! I'd be dead in about two weeks, max. I'm way to honest and I wouldn't mind sparring with Obama and his minions of idiots.

Ole' Grouch's Top Ten ways to lower the debt.

1. Pull out all stops to become energy independent. Oil,gas,solar,nuclear,wind, etc...let's use them all!

2. Pull all our troops out of the middle east just as quick as we can load them all up on the ships or planes.

3. Kick out all the illegal aliens. It can be done, we've done it before.

4. Cut off the congressional retirement packages and 3/4 of their staffs.

5. Stop Obama's continual use of Air Force one.

6. Open a hunting season on lawyers.

7. Ban all forms of organized labor.

8. Stop all foreign aid to countries not friendly towards us.

9. Get out of the UN

10. Outlaw the Democrat/socialist/communist party and all it's ideas.

Some of these are said with a little bit of "tongue-in-cheek"....but not much. Give me your top ten list and see if we can solve all our nations problems here on my little blog.

Common Sense

I listen to the news and it makes me crazy. Today, while running on the treadmill, I watched C-Span and they had former Congresswoman Lincoln from the great state of Bill Clinton on their show. She was pontificating on why our economy is so terrible at this time in history. There were many callers into the show, many of whom had far more common sense than this lady does. Of course they did, she's a Democrat...I've not met one yet(Democrat) that has a lot of common sense.

I watched the next-to-the-last Glenn Beck show on Fox News yesterday. He made the point that the main thing that drives the politicians is their ability to get re-elected time and time again. Their agenda has nothing to do with serving the citizens or preserving our way of life. He also made the point that the Democrat Party and the media are now and have been for some time one entity. The major mass media is nothing more than the propaganda ministry of the federal government, it's sickening to see the obvious slant to the left on all the major networks. Thank God for Fox news, at least we get the other side of a story with them on the air.

I've said this a thousand times in many of my posts. The reason we are losing jobs is because of labor unions and lawyers. I don't understand why the American people can't wake up and see what the main problem is here. I think another one of the reasons the Democrats have been so successful is because of the mass of people who depend on government hand-outs for their subsistence. I recon if I were a product of the welfare system I'd vote for Barrack Obama and his minions of ner-do-wells every chance I was allowed. Then there are the Billionaires club who want the socialist in charge so they can have the power to rule the vast majority of America.

If we could have the media our founding fathers had envisioned, we'd not have a lot of the corruption and down-right communist leanings in our government today. I'm going to make another point here and it will surely anger at least half of the American population. Our founding fathers never intended for women to vote, nor folks that weren't land owners. I do not think women are less equal than men, but women are far more likely to vote for someone because of appearance or emotional appeal rather than content of ideology. Folks that don't have a "dog in the hunt" are far more likely to vote for candidates who will give them the most money and who aim to steal from the nasty ole' rich people.

I hear Obama demagogue the Republicans for not raising the debt ceiling. He's claiming that we are going to kill off old people and kids will not get to go to college. The other day, when I was driving through town, I noticed a brand new facility for the social security office in town. I see roads being built and improved that we do not need. I see hordes of illegals using our welfare system and school systems. I see so much waste and abuse, yet the common man out in the country is too damn lazy or stupid to look around and see what's really going on. These folks that are really very conservative go right on ahead and vote another Democrat/communist/socialist into power, and then bemoan the sorry state of affairs in the country today. It's the lazy stupid masses of voters who've allowed our system to sink to such a cesspool and until the people wake up, we're going to get abused more and more by an overbearing central government. We don't need to raise taxes on the rich! We need to quit spending money on things we don't have to have and quit letting folks milk the system for their "daily bread".

Family Crisis

I had to leave grouchyconservative.com behind. Way to much spam plus this is free. If I had as much time to blog as I used to, I'd have probably stayed with my own .com.

Do any of you out there have a relative that is a big pain in the rear? My family is going through a mini-crisis because one of our kin likes to participate in a very destructive habit. This family member basically "sponged" 50k off my dad, yet still is acting like a jerk! My dad could have stopped this from happening, but he did what he thought was right I guess. Now that my dad has departed this life, I guess this relative expects the rest of us to run after him.....It ain't going to happen in this lifetime.

Anyway, this family member is about to die because of his unseemly lifestyle and I'm struggling with my conscience; I don't want to go help him. The Christian side of me says that I'm obligated to help him. My worldly side tells me that he's made his decision and I will never be able to help him regardless of what I do. This man, at one time, had a six figure income and has literally drank it all away. Now he has no home, no car, and nowhere else to go. If he doesn't get into detox he will die in the next few days. What really is disturbing about this is that everyone that knows him, likes him. I'd like to be more like him in someways. He's sweet, kind, gentle....until he picks up the Vodka. He drinks two fifths a day now, or so his boyfriend tells us. Yes, this family member is gay and a drunk. The whole thing is just simply disgusting to me.

What makes a person want to drink themselves into oblivion? I've just never understood that and I used to drink! I smoked cigarettes for 26 years and then laid them down one day and never looked back. Don't tell me that alcoholics have it any worse than smokers. Addiction is addiction no matter what it is and an addict can stop when they choose to.

For any of you out there that might have the misfortune of reading my blog....you'd better lay of the booze or you surely will wind up where this man is at. This is disgustingly sad. I can't stand his lifestyle and I can't stand the thought of the end of one of the sweetest people who ever walked this earth. His passing will surely sadden me and I will miss him not being around. I tell him, every time I talk to him, that I love him. I just wish he loved himself enough to see that life is worth living; life is a beautiful thing if a person gets off their duff and just enjoys being alive. I have my own family to worry about now, and he has made his choices on what he considers important, I just wish I could have been important to him. You see, I'm talking about my brother here; I'm going to be really sad when he leaves us here soon. I just think about what could have been had he stayed sober.
