It is way past time for there to be a balanced budget amendment put into our constitution! These people that get elected to go to Washington somehow always come up with a "god complex". I see these arrogant "ass-clowns" from these Ivy League schools who think they are oh so much smarter than the rest of us "unwashed idiots" out in the hustings, and it makes me sick to my stomach. These bureaucrats we have been saddled with are nothing more than a bunch of educated idiots...the same kind of idiots who've screwed up our public school system and everything else they've ever touched. The common blue-collar man or woman out in America are smart enough to know that you can't keep spending more than you take in or you will eventually go broke!
I see so much government waste just here in the area I live in. Government buildings we don't have to have and roads that were fine the way they were. We can see the waste every time we watch the news or hear about some big project our government wants done. All the millions of people out of work and the feather-heads up in Washington keep on making it harder and harder for private sector companies to do business. I want to know something. If the hundreds-of-thousands of people who make our government run are so smart, why is our country flat broke? Why is it, if they are so smart, that anything the government gets involved in costs so much dang money, and whatever it is never ever works efficiently? The common man knows the answer, and I guess the powers that be think we are too stupid to figure it out.
The answer lies in the millions of lawyers we have in this country and all the far left interests that are out there. The common man has so much information he's frustrated and therefore tunes out all the mess that comes out of DC. We are so overloaded with information we can't possibly process all of it in a way that makes any sense. The leaders we have don't see things in absolutes...it's all grey and fuzzy. Even a man like myself understands that there is not always a right answer to every problem. However, 99% of the time I believe there is good or evil, right or wrong, or there is a black or white answer or solution. Myself, I generally choose to view things in one or two ways, it's either wrong or it's right, good or evil. Maybe that makes me shallow or a little dense, but life is much simpler that way. What I would give to have our government staffed by folks that had a sense of direction much the same as I do. I realize that we are not always going to agree about everything, but at least you can trust a man who states what he believes and then lives by the code.
Our nannies and dunder-heads up in Washington, for the most part, have no true allegiance to anything except to themselves. They want us all to share in the burden of our massive debt; we are not the ones who made the dang debt to start with. I'd like to know how much money the retirement benefits and staff salaries of our politicians costs the American tax payers each year. Congress has made themselves a real sweetheart deal and get to live like kings their whole lives after serving a term in office. Business rewards them with huge salaried jobs once they leave congress, they are paid because they are good liars and know how to manipulate people and the systems we have in place. Lord have mercy I wish I could get into office so I could live like these people do! I'd be dead in about two weeks, max. I'm way to honest and I wouldn't mind sparring with Obama and his minions of idiots.
Ole' Grouch's Top Ten ways to lower the debt.
1. Pull out all stops to become energy independent. Oil,gas,solar,nuclear,wind, etc...let's use them all!
2. Pull all our troops out of the middle east just as quick as we can load them all up on the ships or planes.
3. Kick out all the illegal aliens. It can be done, we've done it before.
4. Cut off the congressional retirement packages and 3/4 of their staffs.
5. Stop Obama's continual use of Air Force one.
6. Open a hunting season on lawyers.
7. Ban all forms of organized labor.
8. Stop all foreign aid to countries not friendly towards us.
9. Get out of the UN
10. Outlaw the Democrat/socialist/communist party and all it's ideas.
Some of these are said with a little bit of "tongue-in-cheek"....but not much. Give me your top ten list and see if we can solve all our nations problems here on my little blog.
