Civility

I think a good deal of our problems in this country today is the lack of civility. There are certain people who think the 1st amendment of our constitution allows them the ability to speak their mind but not have to suffer the consequences. Of course since the majority of our men have been "emasculated" by the liberals who've ran things for the last 70 years, people can pretty much say what they want without fear of reprisal. I would venture to say that back in the 1700's, when the constitution was written, people had a greater respect for their fellow man than people do these days. Dueling was legal back then, or at least accepted and most people understood that you could get killed or whipped if you ran your mouth about another person.

What is lacking in our society today is the fear of consequences. Even if you commit a heinous crime you are likely not to spend much time in prison. Any "two-bit" lawyer can get you out of trouble or sufficiently muddy the water enough where punishment is less severe.

What the whole point of this post boils down to, or what caused me to post today is the church the goes and protests at military funerals. What kind of a person would go do something like that to a fellow human being. I'll be the first to admit I didn't care anything about Michael Jackson and his death has in no way diminished my life. I did not care for some of the things he did while he was living, but I would not go to his funeral and protest him and shout things at his family or friends that would be hurtful. These people that show up at a fallen service members funeral and shout obscenities and print up hateful placards simply need their ass whipped! If things were like they were a couple of decades ago these types of people wouldn't have the guts to show up at funerals and do the things that they do. Respect is based somewhat on fear, and I don't mean the trembling "scared to death" of someone kind of fear; I'm talking about fear of consequences. In this day and age a butt whipping will earn you lots of money from the lawsuit you can file. There is no fear of consequences even for doing things that are just plain hateful.

This goes back to our emasculated men in the United States. We've been beaten down by the lawyers and femi-nazies to the point where we are afraid to act like real men. Most people do not want to take responsibility for their actions nor for their own well being. What the heck, if you don't like something or someone, or you don't have enough money: Find yourself a good lawyer and you can get yourself rich overnight! I believe it ought to be alright and just to beat the crap out of someone if they do or say things that are obviously hateful and reckless. I don't know what I'd do if a bunch of people showed up to one of my children's funeral and said some of the things these protesters say. I can guarantee you I'd be in jail after whipping some butt! That's what ought to happen here and this kind of nonsense would stop. Our court system ought not to have to decide about things like this, this has to do with civility and being kind to your fellow man.
