How is it that certain people in this world can't seem to work for a living? How come, no matter how much you help someone, does the person being helped not appreciate it?
From personal experience I'm writing this blog today. I will not mention any one's name nor their relationship too me, but for those of you who know me you will know of whom I am speaking.
This person I'm speaking of did not have a place to live and so I gave him one. This person didn't have the money to purchase his prescription drugs so I bought them for him. This person couldn't afford to pay for several things, so I paid for them. This person begged to borrow money from me to pay for and expensive event so I went and co-signed a $4500 dollar loan for him and he promised me he'd pay for it. Guess what? You guessed it, I'm paying for that debt. Now this person has moved off my property and stuck me with a big electric bill and left a mountain of mess everywhere that I'm going to have to clean up! On top of that he stole some of my belongings in the process.
Don't get me wrong, it's not just the money it's the principle of the matter. Yes I'd like my money back, it's a good chunk of change, but what I'd like more is a good relationship with him. Considering the close personal relationship with this person I would have never thought this would have happened. But you know what, I should have. There are several million people in this country who have lived their whole worthless lives off the fruit of their neighbors labor. This person is one of those kinds of people that is too dang lazy to work for a living, but I just would have never thought he'd have done me this way.
